Welcome to the Second Semester, February 03, 2008

Welcome to the new semester and to my blogsite. Information dealing with this course and other courses I teach can be found at http://jacquie.hayter.googlepages.com/ but this site will provide information on day to day course activities and assignments. Many of the assignments used in class and other information will be made available to you by linking it to the Internet. All assignments, notes, information sources or videos that can be found on the web will be underlined.

All Sutherland students can access Discovery Channel's United Streaming video collection. Students may view the collection by going to http://www.unitedstreaming.com/ . Use the passcode posted in the classroom to register. Students are licensed to include this content within their own creations.

Make sure you use this blogsite regularly. If you are away you can now stay in touch and even complete missing work prior to returning to school. This will help you. Now you will know what you missed. If you do not have the internet your friend might have or you can even usee the one at the Library. Stay in touch and email me if there are problems at jhayter@nvsd44.bc.ca

In a few weeks time Miss Carlson, my student teacher from U.B.C. will be working with my Social Studies 9 classes. She already has her blog page organized so log on to http://ejcarlson.blogspot.com and read her interesting history profile.
