Geography 12, September 8, 2009 - 2010

'The end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time' T.S. Eliot. For most of you, this will be your final year in Sutherland. Exciting, and a new beginning. To be successful try to complete all parts of this equation: "study, play, get exercise and enjoy your friends". To help with the 'study ' part of the equation I will post course information here and on my website at http://jacquie.hayter.googlepages.com/geography12/. The school site is : http://www.nvsd44.bc.ca/SchoolSites/Sutherland.aspx

Introduction to Social 10, 2009 -2010

Welcome back. The hot, lazy days of summer are over. I hope your summer was fabulous and that you hung out with friends, enjoyed the creeks and rivers found here on the North Shore and slept until 9:00 a.m. every day!

This first week is always hectic but enjoy the start of a great school year. In Social 10 we study Canada's political, social and economic development since the 1800's. You will need your text and a binder. I will try to ease this start-up time by posting course information here and on my blog site. Below you will find what I expect we will cover this first week.
