Geography 12 Final Week of the Semester

This is the last week of the term. All Geography students are reminded to check their work to make sure all assignments are in, every mark will count. This week will be busy as there is still much to cover. What is not covered within the given school time must be your responsibility to cover by doing the homework/readings. You have already completed an old exam found on the site http://www.eastwoodzhoo.com/examsDuring the last week of classes you must prepare for the final exam by reviewing the course and the required readings. You can also go to the Ministry of Education's website and review the Geography 12 specifications, verbs used on exams, marking criteria for the essay and practice a sample Geography 12 exam. It is important you take time to do these things as it will improve your exam performance. Throughout these next few days be prepared for quick in class quizzes assessing homework completion. Your final exam is Friday, Jan 28 at 9:00. Bring a pencil, pen and ruler plus your four books/notes. Good Luck and make sure you review the student presentations from this year and last year. The link to last year is Jan 2010. and Jan 2010, 15

How time flies, after 20 years this is my last week of teaching! I have enjoyed every minute, give or take a few moments .. that have always passed ever so quickly. I will miss everyone and wish my students, colleagues and staff the very best now and in the future. Our Sutherland staff and our students are the best. As for me, I plan to hike the hills, fix the garden , mend some furniture, read, take courses and watch the grandkids grow. Please keep in touch. I will be at the school until January 31 but please contact my new email address at hayter@ sfu.ca if you have concerns regarding your mark or other matters. Also, you can contact the office or Mr. Benoy at kbenoy@nvsd44.bc.ca All my best!
